Last February 2015 our deli products, premium gourmet jams 80% pure fruit and our EVOO olive oil spheres “EVOO pearls” were selected to be exhibited for 6 months in the Gourmet Shop of the Spanish Pavilion at the 2015 Milan Universal Exhibition, held in the Italian city from May 1st to October 31st 2015, under the theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”.
It has been a great joy and an immense satisfaction for our young company that the SAGARDI GROUP, the appointed company to manage the catering services for the Spanish Pavilion, selected our gourmet jams and olive oil spheres “EVOO pearls” to presented them as “Spanish Brand” in the Gourmet Shop located in the ground floor of the Spanish Pavilion.
The SAGARDI GROUP is in charge of managing the VIP Restaurant, located in the attic of the Pavilion, the Lounge Bar-Tapas located in the ground floor, and the gourmet shop also located in the ground floor of the pavilion, where they offer a careful selection of upmarket delicatessen food from our country, including our olive oil spheres “EVOO pearls” and upmarket premium gourmet jams.
The Spanish Pavilion has more than 2.000 square meters divided in two large sections, focused on culinary tradition and innovation. The Spanish Pavilion has not been one of the most acclaimed in terms of design, contrary to Japan, China, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia and the United Arab Emirates that have been highly praised. However, the Spanish Pavilion is one of the most highly rated in catering; its Lounge Tapas-Bar has made a difference in terms of diversity, culinary wealth and high quality.
Each participating country has its own gourmet shop within its pavilion, whether individual or shared, where it exhibits the most representative agro-food products of the country. LoRUSSo notes with satisfaction how nice and elegant our gourmet jams and olive oil spheres “EVOO pearls” look in our pavilion’s gourmet shop. During the week of Andalucía (June 29 – July 5), our products were showcased both at the entrance and at the exit of the shop.
In average, 116.000 daily visitors are enjoying the 58 pavilions of 144 countries. Expo Milano 2015 is the first universal exhibition to be known not only for its architecture and activities, but also for its significant contribution to the debate and education on nutrition, food and natural resources at a global level. The participating countries will address and disseminate in their pavilions information regarding food security, quality of food, new technologies for agriculture and biodiversity, nutritional education, food solidarity and cooperation, and many other current and foreseeable related issues.
The 2015 Milan Universal Exhibition follows the successful Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China, which focused on the theme “Better City – Better Life”, and it will be followed by Expo 2020 in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, with the theme “‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”.
